Discovering a new path

Coming from a background in the food industry, I was excited at the opportunity to start fresh in a completely new sector. At the time, I was looking for a relocation to Oman to be closer to my family, and that’s when I was introduced to Tenable FEC. I had no idea this chance encounter would lead to a decade-long journey of personal and professional growth. Looking back, I’ve never regretted the decision—it’s been an incredible experience to watch Tenable FEC grow and to be part of that transformation.

Building a legacy

It’s been a privilege to see Tenable FEC expand its team, offices, and projects over the years. One of my greatest joys has been visiting projects we’ve worked on and driving past them once they’re completed. Whether it’s the visionary projects at NEOM in Saudi Arabia or the stunning Muscat International Airport, each represents a chapter of our team’s dedication to excellence.

As the Fee Proposal Manager, I’ve had the opportunity to lead an incredible team. Since January alone, we’ve secured over AED 16.8 million in projects, and it’s rewarding to know the hard work we put into every proposal directly supports Tenable FEC’s growth and reputation.

Overcoming challenges

The fire engineering market is highly competitive, and pricing strategies are always a challenge. Navigating these complexities requires flexibility and a deep understanding of what each client needs. I’ve been fortunate to learn from mentors like Sam Alcock, Om Prakash, and Mazin Al Yaarubi, whose guidance has shaped my technical knowledge and helped me refine my approach to balancing client expectations with Tenable FEC’s goals.

Championing inclusion and growth

Being a female leader in a traditionally male-dominated field is something I’m incredibly proud of. I strive to lead by example, empowering my team to take ownership of their roles and develop their skills. By sharing knowledge, I aim to ensure that every member of my team feels confident in their abilities and valued for their contributions. Watching my team thrive, even in my absence, is one of my greatest achievements.

Advice for the next generation

If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to throw yourself into whatever you do wholeheartedly. Absorb as much as you can, learn from everyone you meet, and stay curious. The experiences you gather along the way will shape your career and help you tackle challenges with confidence.
